Daily Fantasy Football Past (week 7)
SD v. Jax - Jags D is awful. Rivers was efficient. Keenan Allen’s targets shrank. Is Matthews ahead of Woodhead? MJD still sucks. Cecil Shorts gets 13 targets. Shorts and Blackmon both nearly had TDs.Cin v. Det - Welcome to 2013 Andy Dalton and AJ Green. Gio Bernard had receptions, but the TDs went to Eifert and Marvin Jones. Stafford threw the ball 17 more times than Dalton, but finished with less yards. Calvin Johnson is healthy.
Buf v. Mia - Who is the #1 RB in Buffalo and Miami? Hartline and Wallace get the targets, but do little. Brandon Gibson becomes the redzone target with 2 TDs.
TB v. Atl - Who-lio Jones? Matt Ryan doesn’t need star WRs. Harry Douglas stepped up and performed like a #1 WR (he caught all 7 targets for 149 yds and a TD). Jacquizz Rodgers is WR2. Glennon likes Vincent Jackson to the tune of 22 targets! He must have broken up with his former BFF target Tim Wright.
NE v. NYJ - Brady is old. Gronk is not 100%, but he’s a must play. Did Chris Ivory take RB1 from a banged up Bilal Powell? Do you believe in the Jets offense?
Dal v. Phi - These defense were supposed to be bad. Nick Foles laid an egg in your GPP contest. All eagles did for that matter. Romo did not meet expectations. Joseph Randle exceeded his salary. Dezs Bryant was good, but this should have been a big game for him. Terrance Williams is the WR2, and is getting better each week.
Chi v. Was - As expected, both Defenses are weak. Alfred Morris with 95 yards, but all the 3 TDs go to Helu. Matt Forte is as consistent as a machine. Alshon Jeffery shows up. Jordan Reed was good last week, but now he’s a star TE.
STL v. Car - No Daily Fantasy Football relevance whatsoever. Cam was good, but not daily fantasy football good.
SF v. Ten - Gore continues to roll and Kap is waking up from his Super Bowl hangover. The SF D looked good until easing off the pedal in the 4th, but they scored a TD. Kendall Wright has value with Locker at QB. Chris Johnson with a big play sneaks back onto the daily fantasy football radar.
Cle v. GB - Eddie Lacy carries the load. Rodgers doesn’t need star WRs. Jarrett Boykin pulls a Harry Douglas. Jordan Cameron is back.
KC v. Hou - Jamaal Charles is the Chiefs. Case Keenum was impressive against a good KC defense without his star RB Arian Foster.
Bal v. Pit - The Ravens offense is undependable. Pittsburgh’s WR corps were shut down for the most part. Heath Miller did get a TD, but caught only 2 passes. Le'Veon Bell rushed for 93 yards and it appears the Steelers line is gelling after some early season injuries.
Den v. Ind - Daily Fantasy Football game of the week. Peyton might have lost, but he was a big winner in Daily Fantasy Football. Luck was solid as well. Welker did not get in the endzone, but Decker and Team Thomas did. Knowshon can’t be expected to score 30 each week, but he played well. Indy spreaded the TDs out among players that no one played (Heyward-bey, Fleener, and Havili?). Last but not least, actually, definitely least, Adam Vinatieri's leg is having a great year.
Daily Fantasy Football Preview (week 8)
New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles - Giants horrible D goes on the road in a short week against Chip Kelly’s offense, but who starts at QB for Philly?Buffalo Bills vs. New Orleans Saints - The Saints are coming off a bye and playing at home. Brees is stellar in the Dome, and he faces a week Buffalo D. Dallas Cowboys v. Detroit Lions Dallas has improved defensively, but Calvin Johnson looks healthy and ready to roll.
Atlanta Falcons v. Arizona Cardinals - The Cards have a week and a half to prepare for a poor Falcons D. Fitzgerald should be as healthy as he’s been all season. Michael Floyd is a cheap WR3 option. Is Andre Ellington ever going to take over in Arizona? Can Harry Douglas and Jacquizz Rodgers play like super stars again?
Washington Redskins v. Denver Broncos - Forgive them Father, for they know not what they’ve done. NFL.com already has this counted as a Denver win on the standings page. Against a weak Redskins D, you must play Broncos. All your Broncos are belong to us! Don't count out the Skins just yet. Indy put major points up on Denver, and Washington went crazy on Chicago (Jordan Reed, Morris, and Roy "TD Thief" Helu).
Green Bay Packers v. Minnesota Vikings Even with a ragtag WR corps, Rodgers will feast on the Vikings D. Jarrett Boykin, Eddie Lacy, anyone?
